A CNN article reads, “Almost two-thirds of Americans (65%) say current economic conditions are good, but that’s down since May, representing the first significant decline in public perception of the economy during Donald Trump’s presidency, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS. As some economic indicators are beginning to show warning signs of a looming recession, the public’s impressions of — and outlook for — the country’s economic conditions are starting to waver, but they remain mostly positive. The 65% of Americans who now say economic conditions are good represent a 5-point drop from the May CNN/SSRS poll.” If I’ve said it once, then I’ve said it a hundred times: the economy, stupid! The economy more than anything is what will move voters off of traitor trump, but I should stipulate that I don’t think a minor downturn in the economy will hurt traitor trump. I just don’t. If we have a quarter or two of minor economic slowing (<1% or so) before the election, then I don’t think that will hurt traitor trump’s re-election chances. His base (e.g., farmers, RepubliKKKlans, MAGA morons) have already indicated they are willing to weather some (more) economic hurt because they believe (incorrectly) that traitor trump’s economic “policies” will actually benefit them in the long-run (it won’t), but one cannot convince stupid people of things they are incapable of comprehending. As for the rest of voters? Eh! Only an economic catastrophe will motivate them to vote Democratic in significant enough numbers to want to deliberately and consciously change things. Ties always go to the incumbent. Mark my words, morons. This is a “don’t rock the boat” country! Welcome to trump stupid America!
