According to The Hill, “Congress has approved legislation that would prevent any president from withdrawing the United States from NATO without approval from the Senate or an Act of Congress. The measure, spearheaded by Sens. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), was included in the annual National Defense Authorization Act, which passed out of the House on Thursday and is expected to be signed by President Biden. The provision underscores Congress’s commitment to the NATO alliance that was a target of former President Trump’s ire during his term in office. The alliance has taken on revitalized importance under Biden, especially since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.”

Wait! Whaaaaa?!?! I just assumed that a president could not withdraw from a treaty unilaterally when two-thirds of the Senate must ratify all treaties; Article II, Section 2, Clause 2 of the U.S. Constitution reads, in part: “He [the President] shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur.” I said as much (incorrectly) in a previous post. (Yes, I admit when I’m wrong, and perhaps I should have researched my misunderstanding first.) So, I Googled my query and found out that President Carter unilaterally withdrew from the Sino-American Mutual Defense Treaty as part of normalizing relations with China. Unbelievable! How can this be?!?! You know, I thought America was founded on the notion of not having a king, yet the president seems to acquire more and more kingly power with each passing era. I can’t believe the Founding Fathers would have been so careless as to require significant buy-in from the Senate before a president could enter into international treaties yet leave the mechanism to exit one entirely unchecked. Maybe I should not be that surprised since many Founding Fathers were actually copacetic with the notion of an American king because why not? Christ!

Moreover, it is pretty clear that a majority of Democrats and RepubliKKKlans take traitor trump’s threats to leave NATO seriously if they felt the need to enact legislation to prevent him from doing so. Yet, these same RepubliKKKlans will vote for him next year, knowing the danger he brings to our democracy and the world. Traitor trump may have been prevented from technically existing NATO — assuming RepubliKKKlans don’t pass legislation to reverse course during his next term when traitor trump demands they do so — but he could still decide not to act when required by the tenets of the treaty (Article 5) thereby leaving the organization in effect. Last I checked, Congress can’t force the commander-in-chief to command. And RepubliKKKlans will not impeach him over his failure to live up to the treaty’s requirements. In the end, traitor trump will simply ignore the spirit of the compact.

Hot off the presses! Look, f***tards, the end of America is already here; morons of America just haven’t realized it yet. I’ve been saying this for years — years! Biden is merely the intermission to the end of our democracy, and all the polls point in that direction. This Morning Consult poll is yet another bit of evidence. I don’t have access to the crosstabs of this new poll, but reporting covered on MSNBC highlights the same grim story: Biden is losing the youth and minority vote, which were key to his election win. And third-party candidates (RFK, West, and Stein) are hurting Biden more than traitor trump. And so much for abortion rights being a driving force, as dumbass Democrats keep (incorrectly) predicting. Make no mistake, abortion will be illegal everywhere when traitor trump wins, but no one cares. That’s the first right people will lose under total RepubliKKKlan control starting in 2025. This is just one hot-button culture war issue that these polls indicate voters are willing to ignore. Again, no one cares! And how many times must I say it? How many times? Abortion rights are always someone else’s problem.

If it’s a day that ends in “y,” then I woke up in the dumbest f***ing country on the planet because I live in stupid f***ing hell! According to CBS News, “The Dow Jones Industrial Average surged to close at more than 37,000 points for the first time as investors applauded a statement from the Federal Reserve on Wednesday that it could cut its benchmark interest rate next year. All things being equal (i.e., people did not touch their retirement funds), any average person (or, more importantly, voter) should be able to look at their 401K balance objectively and conclude it’s never been higher. I suppose this is all Biden’s “fault” because the opinion polls sure do suggest as much. So, I guess that theory of mine is blown out of the water; retirement balances don’t matter after all. Apparently, they did under traitor trump. Of course, he never let you forget it — admittedly a savvy marketing tactic. I’m sure Biden will mention this new market achievement once or maybe twice at most. Never underestimate dumbass Democrats’ ability to f*** up a good political opportunity. Biden should be touting these record market highs daily, but he won’t because the guy is still lost in the belief that moronic Americans can “figure it out” (i.e., the good news) themselves. Hell, they think Biden has his figure on the “higher inflation, please” button sitting on the Resolute Desk. Oh, sure, I get it. “Bidenomics” messaging failed, but that probably had more to do with how the message was conveyed; when Biden has to hold rallies or White House staff must conduct MSM interviews with long-winded explanations of how well the Biden economy is working, then you’re losing. Biden should be out there daily — just like traitor trump was — saying the market is higher, 401Ks are higher, and gas prices are lower. If you say it often enough and long enough, then morons (a.k.a. Americans) will eventually believe it. Forget about describing what roads and bridges are being fixed in someone else’s state or town; no one cares. It’s all about “What have you done for me lately?” Nothing more, nothing less. According to CNN, “House Republicans are expected to vote Wednesday on their resolution to formalize an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden as their investigation reaches a critical juncture and right-wing pressure grows. … At least one Republican lawmaker though is not solidly behind the vote to formalize the inquiry. GOP Rep. Ken Buck of Colorado, who has been an outspoken critic of his party’s inquiry into the president, said Tuesday, ‘I’m leaning no.’ But even as the majority of House Republicans rally around the inquiry vote, GOP leadership has made a point to indicate that formalizing the inquiry does not mean impeaching the president is inevitable, even as pressure within the party and among the Republican base grows.”

Impeachments all around play right into the “thinking” of Americans that all the parties are awful, corrupt, and feckless. So, it doesn’t matter who they vote for because nothing matters. According to Politico, “Donald Trump is considering a plan to let North Korea keep its nuclear weapons and offer its regime financial incentives to stop making new bombs, according to three people briefed on his thinking. The move would mark a sharp departure from his past stance on the issue and a shift toward accommodating the North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un, with whom Trump developed an unusually friendly relationship during his time in office. Trump, however, may be prepared to give up on even attempting to convince Kim to dismantle his country’s nuclear weapons if he wins another term in 2024. At least part of his motivation, the people said, would be to avoid wasting time on what he sees as futile arms talks — and focus instead on the larger task of competing with China. One of the ideas Trump is weighing, according to the people briefed on it, would involve enticing North Korea to freeze its nuclear program and stop developing new weapons, in exchange for relief from economic sanctions and some other form of aid. It would also require the creation of a verification to ensure North Korea keeps its word, the people said [emphasis added].”

Read between the lines: Traitor trump is prepared to give North Korea a free pass because he’s in love with dictators, and wants to make America in the image of Russia and China (and North Korea without the poverty). Make no mistake, f***tards. These authoritarian regimes are models for traitor trump; they are the city on the shining hill he wants America to emulate. And he can’t let these paragons of dictatorship falter, so he has to support them; right now, Kim of North Korea needs the most help. Traitor trump is already signaling to his chum that he’s got Kim’s back when he returns to the White House. As with everything traitor trump does, it will be the worst deal for America. He’ll declare through his usual lying and bloviating to the sh*t-for-brains population of America that he single-handedly disarmed North Korea, and morons of America will believe him when, in fact, taxpayers are going to be paying North Korea for promises they’ll break on day one. Just like every other agreement America has tried with North Korea over the decades, the Kims have broken every one. A “deal” with traitor trump will be no different except to say that dictators worldwide are going to be laughing at him and us for being so gullible.

And this whole befriending Kim as a means to counter China is also a lie. If anything, traitor trump is likely jealous that Xi has a closer “friendship” with Kim than he does. Again, traitor trump may talk tough with China, but deep down, his admiration for Xi outweighs his criticism. His China invectives are all show for the MAGA moron base. Texas Supreme Court basically says there are no exceptions to the abortion ban. It is difficult to take their ruling seriously as their arguments are inherently contradictory, but this is what people wanted when they vote for RepubliKKKlans, election after election, time after time. This is what they elected RepubliKKKlans to do, and they’re doing it with what, I assume, is barely a peep from the electorate. I don’t have access to Texas newscasts, but I’m guessing this is a news story that most morons are tuning out, and the rest are simply shrugging their shoulders while thinking to themselves, “Glad it’s not me!” — yet. I’ve quoted key passages below.

Only a doctor can exercise “reasonable medical judgment” to decide whether a pregnant woman “has a life-threatening physical condition,” making an abortion necessary to save her life or to save her from “a serious risk of substantial impairment of a major bodily function.” If a doctor, using her “reasonable medical judgment,” decides that a pregnant woman has such a condition, then the exception applies, and Texas law does not prohibit the abortion. … Some difficulties in pregnancy, however, even serious ones, do not pose the heightened risks to the mother the exception encompasses.

A woman who meets the medical-necessity exception need not seek a court order to obtain an abortion. Under the law, it is a doctor who must decide that a woman is suffering from a life-threatening condition during a pregnancy, raising the necessity for an abortion to save her life or to prevent impairment of a major bodily function. The law leaves to physicians—not judges—both the discretion and the responsibility to exercise their reasonable medical judgment, given the unique facts and circumstances of each patient.

Though the statute affords physicians discretion, it requires more than a doctor’s mere subjective belief. By requiring the doctor to exercise “reasonable medical judgment,” the Legislature determined that the medical judgment involved must meet an objective standard. Dr. Karsan asserted that she has a “good faith belief” that Ms. Cox meets the exception’s requirements. Certainly, a doctor cannot exercise “reasonable medical judgment” if she does not hold her judgment in good faith. But the statute requires that judgment be a “reasonable medical” judgment, and Dr. Karsan has not asserted that her “good faith belief” about Ms. Cox’s condition meets that standard. Judges do not have the authority to expand the statutory exception to reach abortions that do not fall within its text under the guise of interpreting it. The trial court erred in applying a different, lower standard instead of requiring reasonable medical judgment.

The exception does not hold a doctor to medical certainty, nor does it cover only adverse results that will happen immediately absent an abortion, nor does it ask the doctor to wait until the mother is within an inch of death or her bodily impairment is fully manifest or practically irreversible. The exception does not mandate that a doctor in a true emergency await consultation with other doctors who may not be available. Rather, the exception is predicated on a doctor’s acting within the zone of reasonable medical judgment, which is what doctors do every day. An exercise of reasonable medical judgment does not mean that every doctor would reach the same conclusion.

The irony and the hypocrisy of this ruling are laid out near the beginning of the order when the justices glibly claim, “Only a doctor can exercise ‘reasonable medical judgment’ to decide whether a pregnant woman ‘has a life-threatening physical condition,’ making an abortion necessary to save her life or to save her from ‘a serious risk of substantial impairment of a major bodily function’ [emphasis added].” Then, these RepubliKKKlan justices spend the following pages explaining why their judgment is better than the doctor’s. They didn’t like the decision of the plaintiff’s doctor, who recommended an abortion, so they simply claimed her determination was not reasonable while simultaneously reassuring other doctors that they are the only ones capable of making medical decisions as long as it does not disconform to what the justices might rule on the matter later. Do these Texas Supreme Court justices actually think doctors can feel supported or confident in their decisions, given the high court’s blatant hypocrisy? Of course, not! But that’s the point. These RepubliKKKlan judges say — with a wink — only doctors can decide when an abortion is a medical exception. I promise no doctor will make any decision on performing an abortion, realizing the Texas Supreme Court could rule differently later. In short, there are no such things as exceptions, despite what the courts and law say. And that is precisely the way Texans want it! Oh, well. More women need to die, and then maybe something will change, but I doubt it. People get the government they deserve and desire, which is a judge second-guessing the decisions made between a patient and their doctor! This is what a dying country — figuratively and literally — looks like. Welcome to stupid America. Exactly what I expected.

According to CNN, “Former President Donald Trump has the upper hand over President Joe Biden in two critical battleground states – Michigan and Georgia – with broad majorities in both states holding negative views of the sitting president’s job performance, policy positions and sharpness, according to new CNN polls conducted by SSRS. In Georgia, a state Biden carried by a very narrow margin in 2020, registered voters say they prefer Trump (49%) over Biden (44%) for the presidency in a two-way hypothetical matchup. In Michigan, which Biden won by a wider margin, Trump has 50% support to Biden’s 40%, with 10% saying they wouldn’t support either candidate even after being asked which way they lean. In both Michigan and Georgia, the share of voters who say they wouldn’t support either candidate is at least as large as the margin between Biden and Trump.”

Only in the last year of his presidency did he comprehend how to wield ultimate power. Former members of the Obama coalition (or generation) have become traitor trump supporters; they are helping to drag America backward to the pre-civil rights movement, which I assume is a point in time that Giuliani craves. According to CNN, “The Texas Supreme Court has temporarily blocked a pregnant woman from obtaining an emergency abortion in a ruling issued late Friday. The court froze a lower court’s ruling that would have allowed Kate Cox, who sued the state seeking a court-ordered abortion, to obtain the procedure. ‘Without regard to the merits, the Court administratively stays the district court’s December 7, 2023 order,’ the order states. … Following the ruling, Cox’s attorney said they remain hopeful the state’s request is quickly rejected. ‘We are talking about urgent medical care. Kate is already 20 weeks pregnant,’ said Molly Duane, an attorney at the Center for Reproductive Rights. ‘This is why people should not need to beg for healthcare in a court of law.’… In a letter [from the Texas A.G. Paxton] to three hospitals in Houston where, according to the Texas Medical Board, Cox’s physician has privileges, Paxton wrote Cox has failed to demonstrate she has a ‘life-threatening’ medical condition related to her pregnancy or that her symptoms place her ’at risk of death’ or major bodily harm. The state attorney general also warned the hospitals Thursday’s ruling ‘will not insulate you, or anyone else, from civil and criminal liability,’ including first-degree felony prosecutions and civil penalties of at least $100,000 for each violation.” I have no doubt that the Texas high court will uphold the Texas abortion ban! Because, of course, they will.

I am just going to say it upfront: I hope Kate Cox dies! Full stop! Sadly, this sh*t-for-brains country and, in particular, sh*t-for-brains Texans are getting exactly what they wanted when they elected traitor trump as president, who promised that he would end Roe. So he did! Moreover, f***tard Texans elected the corrupt state Attorney General Paxton not once, not twice, but three times! Each time, he ran on a platform to end abortions. So he did! This case manifests what people voted for, and guess what? It is long past time that people should start living the consequences of their votes. In a Salon piece, Amanda Marcotte writes, “So why on Earth are so many voters not getting this? The reason is what political scientist Brian Klaas deems the ‘Ignorance Bias,’ which is where ‘political elites assume most other people think about politics often and have a basic working knowledge of it that is rooted in facts and reality.’ This, as he points out, is a false assumption, as most people barely pay attention to politics. For example, more than half of Americans cannot name a single Supreme Court justice. Most people’s understanding of the news is cursory and impressionistic, cobbled together by half-read headlines, glanced-at images on the news, and vaguely sourced assertions on social media. For those folks who are mostly checked out and satisfy themselves with occasionally looking up at the TV news while getting dressed in the morning, the landscape of information is very different than that of those who are paying attention. … It’s tempting to lay the blame entirely at the feet of ordinary voters for not paying attention. And yes, there’s some blame here, because people really could siphon a half-hour out of their day away from watching reality TV garbage to be a little better informed about politics. But the truth is that politics is boring and hard for most people, and most people are under enough stress as it is, so of course they tune out more than they should. The media has done everyone a disservice by propping up the illusion that the presidential run of either Trump or Biden is in doubt [blah, blah, blah].”

So, the article is partly correct. Despite what the author writes, I do blame — entirely — “ordinary voters for not paying attention.” And I get a bit sick and tired of dumbass Democrats and Progressives blaming the media all the f***ing time. To be sure, I get frustrated with the MSM about their coverage of some stories (e.g., giving too much time to the Palestinian perspective of the war), but there is no way the media has been as neglectful as Marcotte would have you believe, except for Fox News, which has been biased for 25 years and giving traitor trump a free pass for his entire political life. The media is just an easy scapegoat for liberal journalists (and liberals at large), who, apparently, don’t actually monitor the MSM as much as they should before passing such judgments, lest they would understand that the MSM does, in fact, report on those topics that Progressives believe are being ignored or whitewashed. Contrary to what Marcotte may like to think, for example, the MSM has been sounding the alarm about the threat to democracy that traitor trump poses. All one has to do is tune into MSNBC and CNN long enough or read any one of several articles in The Washington Post, The New York Times, or The Atlantic, to name a few publications, to comprehend the danger to democracy of traitor trump returning to the White House.

But therein lies the rub! Liberal journalists, like Marcotte, seem to fall into the same “Ignorance Bias” that they accuse voters of doing. I usually respect Salon writers, but they seem to blame everything on “corporate media” and their profit motive. The thing is that you have to pay attention to the MSM. Sometimes you need to read between the lines: Understand what questions they asked and, more importantly, what they didn’t ask; what words they chose to use to describe a situation; whether they pushed back to answers from an interviewee; what stories they prioritize and which ones they ignore or only give passing reference to. This is how you critically take in reporting from the MSM. Most important of all, you should seek out multiple sources and, for the love of f***ing God, don’t rely solely on social media for news, if at all; don’t limit yourself to what is simply proffered to you on your “news feed.” Now, what I have just described is what basically 90 percent of morons of America do, which is why Americans are so f***ing stupid and willfully ignorant. Marcotte correctly claims politics is boring for most people, but that is no excuse for people not being plugged in. The problem is that morons of America are so engrossed in the trivial that they lose all sight of what really matters. To ignore politics and civics is turning a blind eye to that facet of life that most directly dictates your life. F***tards may think politics does not impact them, for they are all masters of their own domain. Tell that to women in post this post-Roe world. Eh, whatever! Nothing actually matters. I keep hearing political pundits and experts (actual experts and not “experts”) warn that America is sleepwalking right into authoritarianism. No truer words have ever been spoken; all one needs do is look around to understand this is happening as we speak. Oh, well. No one cares because I live in stupid f***ing hell. Welcome to stupid America.
