According to CNN, “Johnson and Nicola Sturgeon, the leader of the Scottish Nationalist Party who has already said her party’s strong gains provides a mandate for a second independence referendum, are on a collision course. That’s because the new Conservative majority suggests that Brexit is now a certainty, so Scotland will be dragged out of the European Union against its will.” Congratulations to Britons for gaining independence from the E.U. as they lose half their country. Oh, well! Normally, I would wonder why The Queen doesn’t step in to put a stop to all this craziness, but it seems an empire that once governed one-quarter of the world’s population will now preside over England, Whales, and Northern Ireland (maybe) without any objection. A horse, a horse! My kingdom for a horse! Brexit, Brexit! A kingdom for Brexit! Be careful what one wishes for!
