Reporting from The Hill, “House Republicans fulfilled a key campaign promise on Monday, passing legislation to rescind the bulk of an IRS funding boost signed into law last year, marking the first bill passed by the GOP-controlled House this Congress. The bill, which is unlikely to see action in the Democratic-controlled Senate, passed in a party-line 221-210 vote on Monday evening. Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) announced that the first bill for a GOP-controlled House would be to repeal the new IRS funding in September, when House Republicans released their ‘Commitment to America’ midterm policy and messaging platform ahead of the election. A boost of about $80 billion in IRS funding over a decade generally aimed at upping high-income enforcement was included in last year’s Inflation Reduction Act, Democrats’ sweeping tax, health and climate bill.”

So, the RepubliKKKlans’ first bill was a single to the base (aka Al-Qaeda) that they would legislate in the mode of QAnon conspiracy kookery. Let’s be absolutely clear about the motives behind defunding the IRS movement. Holding the wealthy class accountable to pay their fair share of taxes is not the primary reason for this legislative push. The primary reason is to demonstrate to crazy RepubliKKKlans — which is all of them — that leadership is going to stop the big bad government from coming to break down their doors to confiscate their guns and assets in the name of tax collections. When Democrats enacted legislation to beef up the depleted IRS ranks, RepubliKKKlans immediately equated hiring 80,000 IRS workers over ten years to creating a Gestapo police force that was coming for RepubliKKKlans. This is not me being hyperbolic or cute. This is their actual belief. Plain and simple. In short, the RepubliKKKlans, in the minds of their voters, just voted to repeal the American Gestapo. Of course, this is ridiculous nonsense, but it’s what fucking goddamned stupid Americans believe. To think that House RepubliKKKlans are pulling these legislative initiatives out of the blue is misguided. These actions are, at their core, rooted in what constituents are telling them. So, expect more of this bat-shit craziness because that’s what America has become now; it’s what people voted for. We get the government we deserve and desire. Oh, well. Welcome to stupid America!

According to the New York Post, “Donald Trump is mourning the death of entertainer Diamond Lynnette Hardaway, best known as one-half of the ‘Diamond and Silk’ duo, after her death Monday night aged 51. … ‘Diamond & Silk’ rose to fame during Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign after they sensationally switched from lifelong Democrats to hardcore Republicans after Trump’s White House bid was announced a year earlier. Hardaway’s health sparked concern back in November after the duo’s official Twitter account pleaded with fans to pray for her. ‘Anyone who believes in the power of prayer please pray for Diamond,’ the tweet read, however, a reason for the sudden plea was never given.”

According to the Associated Press, “The Justice Department is reviewing a batch of potentially classified documents found in the Washington office space of President Joe Biden’s former institute, the White House said Monday. Special counsel to the president Richard Sauber said ‘a small number of documents with classified markings’ were discovered as Biden’s personal attorneys were clearing out the offices of the Penn Biden Center, where the president kept an office after he left the vice presidency in 2017 until shortly before he launched his 2020 presidential campaign in 2019. The documents were found on Nov. 2, 2022, in a ‘locked closet’ in the office, Sauber said. Sauber said the attorneys immediately alerted the White House Counsel’s office, who notified the National Archives and Records Administration — which took custody of the documents the next day. ‘Since that discovery, the President’s personal attorneys have cooperated with the Archives and the Department of Justice in a process to ensure that any Obama-Biden Administration records are appropriately in the possession of the Archives,’ Sauber said.”

It is almost absurd for me to tick off all the ways this instance of handling classified documents is different from the traitor trump episode, but the primary difference is that the Biden officials are cooperating with the government and they proactively returned said classified documents to the government, whereas traitor trump did everything he could to hide and jungle documents from government investigators while denying he ever had such classified documents to the point where traitor trump convinced his lawyers to lie to the courts to obfuscate his culpability.

These situations are similar only because classified documents were in the possession of a former president and vice president after they left office. And to be clear, we do not know the severity of the classified documents Biden had stored away — and that will make some difference. Nonetheless, all this Biden mess does is to point out what I have been saying ever since traitor trump was caught intentionally hiding classified documents from the government: Ain’t nothing going to happen to traitor trump for his handling of these documents. Again, as I have said firmly at every instance of writing about this: All the government wants are their documents back. Full stop! So, stop fucking expecting something will happen to traitor trump. It will not. Forget about the “double standard” game from the right. There isn’t one, mainly because nothing will happen to hold traitor trump accountable.

Of course, this Biden classified documents story is a gift to RepubliKKKlans at just the right time. It never seems to fucking fail. Whenever RepubliKKKlans are down and mired in their own political mess, something comes along — no matter how insignificant — to shift attention to Democrats. Naturally, this will be a bone that RepubliKKKlans cannot let go of, and they’ll beat Americans over the head with his nonthing-burger to the point where idiot Americans will be convinced of the worst of Biden just like they were duped into believing Hillary was crooked. From CNN, “The gun allegedly used by a 6-year-old boy to shoot his teacher at a Newport News, Virginia, school was legally purchased by the child’s mother, officials said. The boy took the firearm from his home to school in his backpack Friday, Newport News Police Chief Steve Drew said Monday. The teacher was ‘providing class instruction when the 6-year-old child displayed a firearm, pointed it at her and fired one round,’ Drew said at a news conference. “There was no physical struggle or fight.’”

So, why haven’t the parents been arrested? Oh, that’s right! They set fires, repurposed barricades as weapons, knocked police officers from horseback and filmed their violent acts as they committed them.”

Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) said on Sunday that he expects that Republicans will be able to pass a House rules package that was the subject of negotiations during the election for Speaker of the chamber. ‘I think we’ll get the 218 votes we need to pass the rules package,’ Jordan said on “Fox News Sunday” with Shannon Bream. ‘What this rules package is designed to do is to stop what we saw happen literally 15 days ago when the Democrats passed a $1.7 trillion monstrosity of a bill.’ Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) had to make key concessions to a group of GOP holdouts through 15 rounds of voting for the gavel. Those concessions included changes to the proposed House rules package.”

The hardest part of establishing the new Congress was voting for leadership; passing the rules package will be easier, and no matter what the moron political pundits try to tell you about the divisions in the RepubliKKKlan Party, they are pretty unified on the general intentions of the rules package, especially the restrictions related to spending and budgeting legislation. They are entirely copacetic with rules that will almost certainly guarantee America defaults on its credit and shuts down the government because they all think doing so will hurt Biden and help RepubliKKKlans.

Reporting from The New York Times, “Economists, Wall Street analysts and political observers are warning that the concessions he made to fiscal conservatives could make it very difficult for Mr. McCarthy to muster the votes to raise the debt limit — or even put such a measure to a vote. That could prevent Congress from doing the basic tasks of keeping the government open, paying the country’s bills and avoiding default on America’s trillions of dollars in debt. The speakership battle that spanned more than four days and 15 rounds of votes suggested President Biden and Congress could be on track later this year for the most perilous debt-limit debate since 2011, when former President Barack Obama and a new Republican majority in the House nearly defaulted on the nation’s debt before cutting an 11th-hour deal. ‘If everything we’re seeing is a symptom of a totally splintered House Republican conference that is going to be unable to come together with 218 votes on virtually any issue, it tells you that the odds of getting to the 11th hour or the last minute or whatever are very high,’ Alec Phillips, the chief political economist for Goldman Sachs Research, said in an interview Friday. … Goldman Sachs researchers estimate Congress will likely need to raise the debt limit sometime around August to stave off such a scenario. … The exception to the debt-limit drama was the four years of Donald J. Trump’s presidency, when Republicans largely abandoned their push to tie increases in the limit to cuts in federal spending. In 2021, Senate Republicans clashed with Mr. Biden as the deadline for raising the limit approached, but those lawmakers ultimately helped Democrats pass a law increasing the cap. … Mr. McCarthy appeared to agree to those demands, pledging to allow open debate on spending bills and to not raise the debt limit without major cuts — including efforts to reduce spending on so-called mandatory programs, which include Social Security and Medicare — in a deal that brought many holdouts, including Mr. Norman, into his camp.”

What happened? I thought the “Never Kevin” caucus would never allow McCarthy to become Speaker. I thought the rebel group of five comprised of GOP Reps. Andy Biggs of Arizona, Matt Gaetz of Florida, Bob Good of Virginia, Matt Rosendale of Montana, and Ralph Norman of South Carolina would stop the RINO. But as it turns out, they caved. They always cave. RepubliKKKlans always fall in line eventually, which should be worrying because the RepubliKKKlan platform — their sole mission — is to make Biden a one-term president, and that requires in RepubliKKKlans’ minds for them to destroy the economy. Their anti-inflation talk is all bullshit; the House does not and cannot control inflation, but they sure can fucking tank the economy if they allow America to default on its credit. And they can shut down the government as they’ve done a couple of times already under a Democratic president. But whatever! This is what Americans voted for. Welcome to stupid America! We’re going to pass bills to fix the nation’s challenges from wide open southern borders,  to American last energy policies to woke indoctrination in our schools,’ he added. ‘We will use the power of the purse and the power of the subpoena to get the job done.’ The new Speaker added: ‘We will also address America’s long-term challenges: the debt and the Chinese Communist Party. Congress must speak with one voice on both of these issues.’”

So! McCarthy is now Speaker of the House, and the destruction of America may now officially begin because this is what people voted for. Let’s read between the lines of his speech. To be clear, his version of accountability and balance is to deny Democrats everything and force RepubliKKKlans’ hellscape vision of government upon us all. The RepubliKKKlan Party will hold America hostage using the budget and the debt ceiling as bargaining chips (grenades). How many fucking times do I have to remind you, people? RepubliKKKlans do not want to govern; they never have. They want to create chaos and destruction and blame it on the Democrats. And guess what? Fucktard voters will believe them just because they usually do, just like voters believe that a divided government is needed to reign in all the progress the Biden Administration has been accomplishing. But whatever! Never mind the proper — although not perfect — functioning of the government under unified Democratic leadership. That will be replaced with recalcitrance and dysfunction. According to The Hill, “A federal appeals court on Friday struck down a Trump-era rule that banned certain types of ‘bump stocks,’ which can be added to semi-automatic weapons to increase their firing rate. The 2018 rule from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) was instituted in the wake of the October 2017 shooting in Las Vegas. The gunman used weapons equipped with bump stocks to kill 58 people and injure at least 850 more. It remains the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. … At the center of the lawsuit is the specific language of a federal ban on machine guns, particularly its definition of a machine gun as a weapon that fires more than one shot ‘automatically’ with a ‘single function of the trigger.’”

Apparently, this ruling is concerned with the “technical” language of the law, and to that I call fucking bullshit! This is simply one more opportunity for an uber-conservative, nut job federal court to allow all manner of weapons of mass death and destruction, all in the name of the supreme First Amendment — oops, I mean the Second Amendment. The technicality of the language is just a ruse for these judges’ utter commitment to making sure anyone can own any type of gun without regard to the community’s safety. It is always telling that other courts seem to have no problem with the bump stock ban, yet this activist court could not wait to strike it down. So, they will rehear the case, and as usual with the 5th Circuit Court, it will reaffirm its ruling with intentionally more legally dubious reasoning, whereby the case will be appealed to SCOTUS. No shock about how that will end! Leave it to SCOTUS to strike down all restrictions on bump stocks, and then we will be right back to where we were. Of course, no one cares! This whole fucking worthless country does not care, for we keep re-electing RepubliKKKlans who want the carnage. It’s what people want.
