According to CNN, “US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is expected to visit Taiwan as part of her tour of Asia, according to a senior Taiwanese government official and a US official, despite warnings from Biden administration officials, who are worried about China’s response to such a high-profile visit.” It is pathetic that Biden allows his administration to fret over Pelosi’s visit. It just makes him and his administration look weak and unwilling to stand up to China. To think that China could dictate where and when the Speaker of the House — second in line to be president — can travel is ridiculous, and when Biden and his Department of Defense wring their hands and show undue worry, it is a f***ing embarrassment. God-f***ing-d*mmit! Why is it Biden never passes up a chance to come off as cowering before China? It’s like a whip-saw with this guy. Strong and resolute against Russia but pusillanimous against China. It’s par for the course that China constantly whines and b*tches about whatever America does, yet Biden feels the need to tip-toe around them when they do. And one wonder’s why Biden approval is the lowest in history — below traitor trump. He’s just f***ing weak, and I think America is getting tired of it. Lord knows I am. (I’ll still vote for him agian, but with a hefty sigh.) As I have said a billion times before, President Clinton had it absolutely correct: It is better to be strong and wrong than weak and right. Several commentators have already warned of the next blow to America’s democracy courtesy of SCOTUS, namely via the blockbuster case-to-be, Moore v. Harper. And who better to quote regarding America’s impending demise than Laurence H. Tribe, a University professor emeritus at Harvard Law School? In the Los Angeles Times, he writes, “The Supreme Court is poised to cut the heart out of majority rule. The Supreme Court’s extremist justices are aiming their next dagger at the heart of the entire democratic enterprise: voters’ right to pick leaders of their choice. … In Moore, Republican state legislators petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court, advancing a debunked right-wing doctrine innocuously labeled the ‘independent state legislature’ theory. It maintains that state courts can play no role in overseeing their legislatures in federal election matters. … Adopting the independent state legislature theory would amount to right-wing justices making up law to create an outcome of one-party rule.”

The Brennan Center for Justice has a good primer on the independent state legislature theory. They write, “The Consti­tu­tion deleg­ates power to admin­is­ter federal elec­tions to the states, subject to Congres­sional over­ride. There is, however, a disagree­ment about how much power is deleg­ated and to which state actors exactly. There are two relev­ant clauses. One is the Elec­tions Clause, which reads, ‘The Times, Places and Manner of hold­ing Elec­tions for Senat­ors and Repres­ent­at­ives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legis­lature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regu­la­tions.’ The other is the Pres­id­en­tial Elect­ors Clause, which reads, ‘Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legis­lature thereof may direct, a Number of Elect­ors.’ The dispute hinges on how to under­stand the word ‘legis­lature.’ The long-running under­stand­ing is that it refers to each state’s general lawmak­ing processes, includ­ing all the normal proced­ures and limit­a­tions. So if a state consti­tu­tion subjects legis­la­tion to being blocked by a governor’s veto or citizen refer­en­dum, elec­tion laws can be blocked via the same means. And state courts must ensure that laws for federal elec­tions, like all laws, comply with their state consti­tu­tions.” Does anyone believe that SCOTUS will not take this opportunity to re-interpret the Constitution and their own previous precedent to give more power to state legislatures and deny people the power to vote? I don’t have to understand or be knowledgeable in jurisprudence or legal theorizing or really anything about the law because this SCOTUS doesn’t care about the law; they care about the end result and use the law only as the means. So, as long as I understand what the end is, I can confidently predict the outcome.

What is the end? The Brennan Center says it all, “The night­mare scen­ario is that a legis­lature, displeased with how an elec­tion offi­cial on the ground has inter­preted her state’s elec­tion laws, would invoke the theory as a pretext to refuse to certify the results of a pres­id­en­tial elec­tion and instead select its own slate of elect­ors. Indeed, this isn’t far from the plan attemp­ted by Trump allies follow­ing his loss in the 2020 elec­tion. And, accord­ing to former federal judge J. Michael Luttig — a distin­guished conser­vat­ive jurist — the theory is a part of the ‘Repub­lican blue­print to steal the 2024 elec­tion.’” This is what SCOTUS wants. They want state legislatures to be able to steal all future elections so RepubliKKKlans can remain in permanent power. This is what people want. This is why people elected traitor trump. Americans are stupid and hate democracy. Full stop. It’s not complicated, f***tards! And SCOTUS is going to make sure people get their wish. The end is coming. No one believes me, but it is. As Newsweek reports, “Senator Tom Cotton has accused Democrat Joe Manchin of double crossing the GOP after he came to an agreement with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on a major energy and health care bill which includes $369 billion to address the climate crisis. The West Virginia Democrat’s decision arrived just two weeks after he previously objected to the full package and would only support the bills relating to health care and pharmaceutical prices.”

Let’s regard this in the most favorable — though highly unusual — light possible. That is, Manchin stuck it to the human turtle McConnell and the RepubliKKKlans — intentionally. Not only that, but let’s also assume this was an elaborate ploy to get the CHIPs Act passed in the process, which is why I say we should regard these latest legislative developments from a highly unusual perspective: At least one Democrat knows how to play political hardball to get things done, and that person is not Schumer. It’s Manchin. I may have accused Manchin of being a DINO a couple of times out of frustration, but I was never one to throw him under the bus for being a Democrat representing a very conservative state with fossil fuel industry interests. Manchin, nonetheless, has always been there for the party when it comes to the more important issue of electing Biden’s judges to the federal bench. So, the Democratic Party always needed to relax and take Manchin for what he is — a moderate Democrat. Not every member can be a raging liberal, and I always respected Manchin for his clear-eyed analysis of the state of the Senate. Namely, he repeatedly advised the party’s progressive wing that if they wanted to pass the legislation he could not back, then they should elect more Democrats. Absolutely! It seems that he understood the state of the political environment better than anyone in the party.

Of course, now they all love Manchin because he pulled a McConnell on the RepubliKKKlans, something Democrats could have never pulled off, much less imagine. Finally, it is good to have a Democratic senator that knows how to string the other side along to get their cooperation before pulling the rug out from underneath them. All that being said, let’s hope no other Democrats f*** up passing the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. That’s a 50-50 proposition because, as always, welcome to stupid America!

Kill me now! Hello, moronic MSM pundits! Two consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth is not — I repeat, not! — “technically” a recession, but that’s all I keep hearing from no-nothing MSM anchors expecting today’s GDP number to be flat or slightly down. Since the first quarter of 2022 had negative GDP growth, they’re just waiting with bated breath for the second quarter to be negative as well so they can be the first to declare “we’re in a recession.” Look, f***tards! There is only one “technical” definition of a recession, and that is what the National Bureau of Economic Research declares to be a recession. As Vox explains, “Recessions in the US are officially declared by a committee of eight economists at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER).”

And the NBER defines a recession as, “the period between a peak of economic activity and its subsequent trough, or lowest point. … The NBER’s definition emphasizes that a recession involves a significant decline in economic activity that is spread across the economy and lasts more than a few months. In our interpretation of this definition, we treat the three criteria—depth, diffusion, and duration—as somewhat interchangeable. That is, while each criterion needs to be met individually to some degree, extreme conditions revealed by one criterion may partially offset weaker indications from another.” They explain more on their website, but nowhere in their criteria for defining a recession do they mention two back-to-back quarters of negative GDP growth. As much as the MSM wants to torpedo the economy by wishing and reporting it into a recession, they need to stop “technically” defining economic business cycles because they’re wrong. And don’t get me started on what the man-on-the-street thinks. They’re even more clueless than the MSM. According to CNN, “Viktor Bout [Merchant of Death], a former Soviet military officer, is currently serving a 25-year prison sentence in the United States on charges of conspiring to kill Americans, acquire and export anti-aircraft missiles, and provide material support to a terrorist organization. Bout has maintained he is innocent. … CNN reported Wednesday that the Biden administration offered Bout up in a potential swap for American basketball star Brittney Griner and former US Marine Paul Whelan, according to people briefed on the matter.” Um, yeah — no! I don’t care if Griner is a famous lesbian basketball player. We should not be putting the “Merchant of Death” back into the hands of Russia. And just to be clear about something else: To Americans who are not diplomats or their family members, stay the f*** out of Russia and other enemy countries. We don’t have the time and desire to rescue you from being taken hostage by rogue governments. Of all the nations around the world, you idiot Americans can’t find other places to visit besides Russia, Iran, North Korea, et al. Stay home then! We’re not coming for you!

There are a couple of news stories here. First, according to The Guardian, “The US attorney general, Merrick Garland, said he would ‘pursue justice without fear or favor’ in his decision on whether to charge Donald Trump with crimes related to the Capitol attack and his attempt to overturn the 2020 election, as news reports indicate the justice department’s investigation is heating up.” Suddenly, A.G. Garland has become more frequently vocal and assertive about his claims he will follow the law and investigate the events surrounding the January 6th attack on the Capitol — at all levels — where ever it leads. This is nothing new and consistent with what he has been saying for months. What is new is that he seems to be bending over backward to say what he’s already said repeatedly. And I understand why: He’s feeling pressure from the public and Congress to show that he’s doing something.

That’s where the second news item comes into play. From The New York Times, “Federal prosecutors have directly asked witnesses in recent days about former President Donald J. Trump’s involvement in efforts to reverse his election loss, a person familiar with the testimony said on Tuesday, suggesting that the Justice Department’s criminal investigation has moved into a more aggressive and politically fraught phase.” To be clear, this is not an investigation into traitor trump himself; this is more or less his name coming up on questioning as it relates to those surrounding him. So, this news story is far less significant than what the MSM would like to have you believe for this simple reason: Garland will never charge traitor trump. I don’t know how many f***ing times I have to keep saying it. Indeed, Garland may do everything except charge the traitor. He may authorize an investigation into the former president specifically. He may collect all the incriminating evidence to bring charges successfully. Still, when push comes to shove, when the moment to decide to charge a former president with crimes against the nation, and when Garland has to make the final decision, I promise you he will decline to prosecute because he does not want the D.O.J. to be seen as being political even though that boat has already sailed. Garland does not have the fortitude to pursue traitor trump. He would rather see the degeneration of America in order to preserve the tarnished reputation of the Department of Justice. Welcome to stupid. It ain’t never going to happen. It’s the First Axiom, stupid!

Of course! From Axios, “Rep. Glenn Thompson (R-Pa.) was one of 157 Republicans who voted against codifying the right to same-sex marriage last week. Three days later, he attended the wedding of his son, who is gay. … Stone told local newspaper Centre Daily last week that Democrats’ Respect for Marriage Act is ‘nothing more than an election-year messaging stunt for Democrats in Congress who have failed to address historic inflation and out of control prices at gas pumps and grocery stores.’”

Just another day in the life of America. I would have given respect to Thompson if he had put out a statement that explained his vote reflects his constituents, but no! Instead, he voted against the “stunt” to troll Democrats. So, his no vote wasn’t really even based on principle; it was just to stick it to the opposition party at the expense of minorities’ rights, two of whom are his son and now son-in-law. These must be Log Cabin gays. It’s the only explanation for allowing his father to attend the wedding, knowing that if the Respect for Marriage Act does not pass, then his son’s gay marriage will be relegated to second-class status once Obergefell is reversed. This is how and why RepubliKKKlans continue to remain and gain power. Their enablers encourage them. They understand that they can vote for legislation that hurts their own flesh and blood, yet there are never any consequences. RepubliKKKlans understand that their family will always love them even though they vote for policies and legislation that re-affirms their hate for them. Whatever! Welcome to stupid America!

According to a survey from the University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics, “A majority of Americans agree that the government is ‘corrupt and rigged against everyday people like me,’ including 73 percent of voters who describe themselves as a ‘strong Republican,’ 71 percent who called themselves ‘very conservative’ and 68 percent of rural voters. A bare majority (51 percent) of voters who call themselves ‘very liberal’ also agreed. Overall, two-thirds of Republican and Independent voters agree that the government is ‘corrupt and rigged’ against them, while Democrats are evenly split. … And 28 percent of voters, including 37 percent who have guns in their homes, agree that ‘it may be necessary at some point soon for citizens to take up arms against the government.’ That view is held by one in three Republicans, including 45 percent of self-identified strong Republicans. Roughly one in three (35 percent) Independent voters and one in five Democrats agreed.”

I don’t know how many f***ing times I have to keep painting a portrait of America’s disintegration. The evidence is already out there; people just need to be able to read and interpret the facts. Almost all Americans see each other as the enemy. How can this nation survive? It cannot. Mark my words! Start allocating your money and resources accordingly. Divest from the stock market or short it just prior to the 2024 presidential election because no matter the actual, certified results, half the nation will be up in arms against the other — and a half or more are likely to be vastly out-gunned than the other. Do not think capitalism will survive the demise of America’s democracy. And just think how a weakened America can defend itself from international intrigues. It cannot. Dead country walking! And no one cares because of gas prices. I wonder how much inflation will be during a civil war? But never mind, gas is too much today so let’s end democracy to fix the inflation problem. Last night’s January 6 hearing roiled my ire all over again. There is only one solution to this ongoing problem: Execute them all, starting with every person who breached the Capitol, then those who marched to the Capitol but stopped just short, and then anyone else left who attended the rally. Line them up on the streets and hang them. There must be the blood of traitors and terrorists running in the streets, for believe me when I say the coup is only on hold and will be re-started if Americans don’t get their f***ing heads out of their collective asses to put an end to these people — RepubliKKKlan, MAGA morons, evil evangelicals, and QAnon kooks. Ugh! Of course, it was bound to happen — Biden contracted COVID — and now the MSM is all over this “story” like white on rice. While it is initially newsworthy, anything beyond 15 minutes of coverage is gratuitous, but naturally, that’s not how the MSM will cover the narrative. It’s going to be hours and hours of Biden/COVID coverage, asking stupid questions and engaging in foolish speculation such as what are the optics of a “sick” Biden? Will Biden survive? How can he prove to America that he’s not on life support? Can he bench 200 pounds? Look, morons. Biden is not traitor trump, who is old, obese, out of shape, has cardiovascular disease, and believes COVID is for weak people, which is why he tried to hide the seriousness of his illness to the point he could barely walk and breathe. His denialism almost got him killed. Unfortunately for the entire world, he survived.

On the other hand, we have Biden, who is fit for his age, fully vaccinated, and taking a COVID prophylactic. He takes the disease seriously, which means he’s already ahead of the curve and will hide nothing from the public. There will be no emergency helicopter ride to Reed Hospital. God!
