Nothing drives me more apoplectic than dumbass Democrats’ insouciance over SCOTUS. How many f***ing times have I written on this topic, yet all I hear are crickets from Democrats when it comes to SCOTUS rulings. RepubliKKKlans have been making nominations of Supreme Court Justices a central cog in their rage machine during every election. Still, Democrats — even at this point with a 6-3 conservative super major — yawn at the notion. Every decision — everyone! — that runs afoul of Democrats’ priorities should be motivating Democrats to scream bloody f***ing murder to their base about the injustice that conservative justices are forcing upon Americans. I am riled up once again by an article from The Hill from which I quote, “Justice Stephen Breyer is expressing misgivings about the Supreme Court’s increasingly common practice of deciding weighty cases on an emergency basis. The court’s so-called ‘shadow docket,’ which often produces consequential rulings without first receiving a comprehensive set of paper briefs or hearing oral arguments, was one of several topics the 83-year-old liberal justice discussed in an interview published Friday in The New York Times.”
This is specifically in response to SCOTUS terminating Biden’s eviction moratorium extension. Jesus-f***ing-Christ on the m*****f***ing Cross. The extension was due to expire next month anyway, and Biden said this would be the last presidential intervention on the matter, so SCOTUS could have dragged their feet and let things play out in due course. And if they were worried about allowing the administration to set some kind of precedent, then they could have ruled after the fact — they don’t always let mootness get in the way of rendering a determination. But, no! The conservative justices could not wait to strike down Biden’s executive order and put millions in jeopardy of being homeless on top of the pandemic. Of course, they could not wait because they really are determined to put corporations and the rights of conservative zealots above everyone else’s. And Americans seem to be perfectly copacetic with that. And I promise all these landlords missing out on rent will get reimbursed through the emergency COVID legislation. The real reason landlords want to kick people out is that housing, in general, is in short supply, so they want to be able to terminate existing leases and rent at higher rates.
But there is a bigger point here: These conservative justices, like every other RepubliKKKlan politician, find yet another way to circumvent convention and normal processes to advance their unpopular agenda. In the case of SCOTUS, it is the “shadow docket.” In California, it’s the recall process because a RepubliKKKlan governor could never win through a regular election. In Texas and Georgia, it’s rewriting election laws to steal elections and keep political power because demographics arguably predict their decline in popularity. These are just a few examples, with SCOTUS being the most consequential and long-lasting, whereby dumbass Democrats need to turn up their rage machine and turn out angry voters. It’s the rage, stupid. Democrats will keep losing because they have no concept of politicizing an enduring rage factor. They f***ing need one — and not ala “defund the police.” Ugh! Months of time wasted! But within a week, dumbass Democrats are basically committing to self-own themselves with Benghazi-style hearings to highlight and amplify Biden’s foreign policy mess. Naturally, wasting no time! I expected nothing less from Democrats. That is not how to win political battles. Save “fair” and “just” for the prosecutors, not politicians. What another f***ing G.D. embarrassment for America. America loses another war, and there is no other way to understand this historical moment. I have spent the weekend witnessing the events and listening to administration officials and news pundits commenting on the Afghanistan collapse and the relevant history that led to this moment, and there is no way this was the least disastrous alternative. In fact, RepubliKKKlans started waging this battle the second Biden was inaugurated, and right on cue, Biden is looking to work with the enemy like a fool. Ugh! How’s that working out? After he announced the deal Thursday, Biden said he would only sign the $1.2 trillion infrastructure deal into law if Congress also passes a multi-trillion-dollar package focused on ‘human infrastructure’ programs like subsidized child care, home caregiving and climate change that only Democrats support.” In short, this deal is never going to happen. Mark my words! Dumbass Democrats are still in this state of mind that RepubliKKKlans will allow a Biden legislative win or that bipartisanship is actually a thing that works. A bipartisan infrastructure deal cannot happen without Democrats supporting it, which cannot happen with the current agreement (although the details of the deal have not actually been written into a bill, nevermind that technicality — *rolling eyes*) unless “human infrastructure” is done concurrently (linked), which is a non-starter for RepubliKKKlans. And, of course, “human infrastructure” will never happen because it doesn’t even have 50 Democratic votes to get through reconciliation. RepubliKKKlans are just looking for a reason to scuttle the deal and — wait for it, wait for it — blame Democrats. See, it’s Democrats’ fault that bipartisanship can’t work; they will claim. And the public will believe them because they’ll keep repeating it until most people do believe through sheer osmosis. And there you have the next RepubliKKKlan campaign talking point: Those socialist, leftist, radical Democrats are incompetent in power, so vote RepubliKKKlan. And people will believe! And maybe they are right! I can’t!
So, I have no idea what dimension of chess dumbass Democrats and Biden are playing, but by any calculation, there are not enough votes for any combination of “human infrastructure,” “traditional infrastructure,” +/-10 RepubliKKKlans, +/-40 Democrats, $1.2 trillion, $6 trillion, increase taxes, don’t increase taxes, one first and the other later or vice versa. Not even eliminating the filibuster can fix this problem. The only fix is to elect more Democrats to Congress, which should be the one and only rally cry from dumbass Democrats. They should be screaming to the public that if they want anything to get done in Washington, then they need to elect more Democrats to the House and Senate (and locally too). But no! Instead they are wasting time on “bipartisanship” and filibuster talk, believing Manchin and Sinema will budge on the issue. They won’t, and they are not the only Democrats in opposition — they’re just the darlings of the MSM. (And to be clear, I agree with keeping the filibuster because Democrats are not strong enough to wield the power unleashed by removing or changing it, but RepubliKKKlans would certainly undue everything if given a filibuster-free Senate. But I digress.) So in the end, go figure: Dumbass Democrats have no idea how to message. Whatever! I give up. Looks like it will be infrastructure week next week, too (again). They used the nuclear option for once to kill the bill! Even though it is a temporary victory as RepubliKKKlans will no doubt double down in the next (special) legislative session by making sure quorum is never an issue again, sometimes it is this show of force that demonstrates Democrats’ ability to be ruthless that is the point, and Lord knows evincing political chutzpah is a quality they desperately need in the eyes of their constituents to prove they can play hardball politics.
