From NBC News, “When Congress began the new year, Rep. Andy Biggs gave a television interview and made a startling confession: House Republicans have done nothing they can run on. ‘We have nothing. In my opinion, we have nothing to go out there and campaign on,’ the Arizona Republican said on the conservative network Newsmax. ‘It’s embarrassing.’ Anchor Chris Salcedo responded with a bemused chuckle. ‘I know,’ he said. ‘The Republican Party in the Congress majority has zero accomplishments.’ The exchange captured a dynamic that looms over Republican lawmakers heading into the 2024 election: They’ve passed little substantive legislation since winning the majority in 2022 and struggled to do the basics of governing with a Democratic-led Senate.” Conferatur a survey in The Hill, “Republicans and Democrats are neck and neck on a generic congressional ballot in a new poll from Decision Desk HQ/NewsNation. About 44 percent of registered voters said they would vote for a Republican candidate ‘if the election for the U.S. Congress’ in their district were held that day. Nearly 43 percent of registered voters said they would vote for a Democratic candidate under the same circumstances.”
Only in this sh*t-for-brains country do voters want more of the same dysfunction. I can’t anymore. I just f***ing can’t. The more I can’t deal with the stupidity, then the more I must write, yet the more repetitive I become in my writing, screaming into the void at a mindless nation of incomprehensible stupidity. Even people within the RepubliKKKlan Party understand how their incompetence has left them with nothing to show to the American electorate, but I guess actual voters are clueless — surprise. They had problems electing the Speaker of the House, not once but twice, and on the second attempt, the House was without a leader for two weeks. They can’t pass a budget, often barely able to pass stop-gap funding bills with mere hours to spare before the government shuts down. They’ve passed absolutely no substantive legislation and have blocked more progress than anything else. Yet! This is the same party of clowns Americans prefer to keep in power based on the poll cited above, which is consistent with other polls. (Granted, the poll from The Hill is within the margin of error, but I contend that Democrats should be leading and never within the margin of error.) Nonetheless, it never f***ing fails in this country of f***tards. Time after time, when people must select between a party with accomplishments and a party that can’t walk straight, then, time after time, voters want to keep the incompetent party in power. Whatever! I give up! Welcome to stupid America!
