Laughable: Abortion Rights

According to a Gallup poll, “Americans are more dissatisfied with U.S. abortion policies now than they have been at any point in Gallup’s 23-year trend, and those who are dissatisfied are three times as likely to prefer less strict rather than more strict abortion laws. … Dissatisfaction with abortion laws increased in 2022, even as it switched to being driven more by a desire for the laws to be less strict. This shift likely reflects two events in late 2021 — when the U.S. Supreme Court allowed a restrictive Texas abortion law to stand and when the conservative-leaning high court heard oral arguments in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case challenging the constitutionality of abortion.”

And then this from The Guardian, “Matthew Kacsmaryk, a federal judge in Texas appointed by Donald Trump, has a tendency to attract strong language. Every Democratic senator opposed his confirmation in 2019, with Chuck Schumer, the then minority leader, calling him ‘narrow-minded’ and ‘bigoted.’… Should Trump’s judge side with the plaintiffs, as many reproductive rights experts suspect he will, the abortion pill ban would apply across the country. Unlike Dobbs, the U.S. supreme court’s ruling last June that eviscerated the constitutional right to an abortion and returned legal control over terminations to individual state legislatures, Kacsmaryk’s injunction would render medication abortions unlawful in every state in the union.”

Look, f***tards! This is going to happen, and I’ve written on this subject extensively, so my feelings are not new or unknown: I say ban the pill! F*** it! It’s not that I am anti-abortion. I am not! I am pro-choice! (Indeed, I have no dog in this fight, so far be it from me to tell a woman what to do with her body.) But how many f***ing times have I been saying that elections have consequences? Yet, no one seems to apprehend this straightforward notion until it’s too late. And guess what? It’s too late, so now morons of America will soon be living in a country with no abortion access — only forced births. So, good luck with that! Of course, what is very disconcerting is the 44 percent of Independents who are dissatisfied with abortion rights. That percentage is way too low to change the course of the anti-abortion movement. The largest voting block is ambivalent about the issue. Un-f***ing-believable. Oh, well! This one judge is about to change the lives of 51 percent of America’s population. And don’t expect the higher courts to do anything, for they won’t. This is yet one more case SCOTUS can’t wait to rubber stamp into federal law!

I suspect the outrage by women when the abortion pill is banned nationwide will be akin to that of Dobbs becoming the law of the land: A collective ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. That’s what happened last year, as I completely predicted because abortion rights are always someone else’s problem! How many times must I say it? How many f***ing times? Oh, sure, women were (still are) upset by Dobbs, but not enough to really do anything about it. They’ll vote to protect abortion rights if it’s a referendum question on a ballot; otherwise, women (and men) will gladly elect and re-elect anti-abortion RepubliKKKlans because — I don’t know — drag queens!

Finally — and I’ve said this repeatedly as well, but no one listens to me — blue states need to start ignoring bad rulings from federal judges in red starts and from SCOTUS. Full stop! As I keep reminding morons, the courts, especially SCOTUS, have absolutely no enforcement mechanism. States and others follow SCOTUS rulings because of the honor system and tradition. So, I say, blue states should give the middle finger to SCOTUS and other RepubliKKKlan judges. If citizens or entities want to sue non-compliant blue states to force them to follow a court’s conservative and unjust order, then let them waste their time and money because even if said blue state loses and is awarded monetary damages to the plaintiff, then who is going to force the state to pay or abide by that new ruling? No one! It’s time blue states start taking back our sovereignty from a few out-of-control rogue conservative justices. But this is what people voted for. They wanted this mess because they voted for the politicians who installed these judges, or voters were too apathetic and didn’t show up to the polls; the results are identical. People get the government they desire and deserve. Civil war is coming! It is the only way to reserve the RepubliKKKlan tide rolling over America! Welcome to stupid America!
