Until such time as they stop, we will be charging China an additional 10% Tariff, above any additional Tariffs, on all of their many products coming into the United States of America. First, let me disabuse you of the notion that the idiot punditry class would have you believe Dictator Don is just using threats of massive tariffs as a “negotiating” tactic. These people are f***ing morons of the high m*****f***ing order. He! Is! Not! If you f***tards haven’t figured out that The Don! is not smart enough to be so savvy, then you’ll never learn. To put it bluntly, he says what he means and means what he says plainly and without any higher-order stratagem in mind. He is a simpleton, just like everyone who voted for him; this is his primary attraction to the benighted masses.
That being said, he is (not so) unwittingly starting a trade war because he thinks he can bully other nations around with tariffs. But we’ve seen this movie before, though most f***tarded Americans have forgotten already. Allow me to remind you morons of Dictator Don’s first term when he imposed, for example, harsh tariffs on China; they, in turn, retaliated against American farmers with their own tariffs. From Roll Call, “President-elect Donald Trump’s pledge to levy hefty tariffs on imports is expected to result in retaliation that hits farmers hard, repeating events of his first term, when Washington spent tens of billions of dollars to ease the pain on the agriculture sector. … A trade war in the second Trump administration could again bring a steep drop in U.S. corn and soybean exports to China. The National Corn Growers Association and the American Soybean Association said in an October study that soybean exports could fall nearly 52 percent and corn exports about 84 percent if China responds in kind. The forecasts are against expectations for exports. The Trump administration in 2018 imposed tariffs on China and other major trade partners — using Section 301 of a 1974 trade law and Section 232 of a 1962 law — on a range of imports, including steel and aluminum. Not only China, but also Canada, the European Union, India, Mexico and Turkey retaliated. The Agriculture Department estimated that the retaliation delivered more than a $27 billion loss in U.S. agricultural exports, or $13.2 billion annualized, from mid-2018 to the end of 2019. China accounted for about 95 percent of the loss, it said. Soybeans took the biggest hit — $9.4 billion annualized — and in the absence of U.S. supply Brazil gained about $4 billion in agricultural export to China in 2018. The losses were felt primarily in Midwestern states like Iowa, Illinois and Kansas.” Not only did Dictator Don’s trade war in his first term hurt farmers, who lost trade markets to China, but it also cost the U.S. taxpayers, who had to subsidize those farmers’ losses. What part of this situation makes sense? Yet The Don! is determined to repeat the same mistakes. However, in his second term, the trade war will be worse and more broad-based. And never mind the idea that waging a tariff war against our trading partners violates his United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). He doesn’t care. I’m sure there is some national security pretense he can invoke to get around that pesky pact, or he’ll simply dare Mexico or Canada to sue. This is Dictator Don unchained, morons! Nothing matters!
But I started with an example of the retaliation side of the equation. Let’s not forget the most direct consequence of tariffs: Higher domestic prices. He wants a blanket 25 percent tax on everything coming into the U.S. from our first and third largest trading partners, Mexico and Canada, respectively. What could possibly go wrong? Once again, Americans are just too f***ing G.D. stupid to have thought about this before they re-elected him to return to the White House. Voters all claimed that The Don! was just being hyperbolic with his tariff talk. Don’t take him at his word! Yet, now that he’s won the election and he can shed the pretense of pandering to the hoards of morons for their votes, he’s doubling down on massive, massive tariffs. Please explain that! You can’t! He meant it before the election, and he means it now. Tariffs are intended to be punishment and retaliation against friends and foes alike, with idiot voters carrying the burden of higher prices — aka inflation. (No, you f***tards, the exporting country does not pay for the tariff. But we’re so far beyond trying to educate this sh*t-for-brains country at this point.) To be sure, Dictator Don’s tariff plan will cause inflation. Full stop! But that is precisely why he got elected in the first place: But prices! Kill me now! I can’t.
