Breaking from CNN, “Twitter has agreed to sell itself to Elon Musk in a deal valued at around $44 billion, the company said Monday.” Yet another nail in America’s coffin. Do not think for a second that Musk is going to improve Twitter. He’s only going to make it nastier and safer for right-wing haters and conspiracy theorists. Musk, an avowed free-speech-at-all-costs-with-impunity supporter, will open the flood gates to unregulated conservative hate speech and misinformation. I can see Twitter becoming a “free speech” cesspool that will drive moderates and liberals away, allowing it to become a right-wing dominated site. Private companies have far less responsibility (accountability) to stakeholders (i.e., the public). Expect this social media platform to make America even worse with Musk at its head. What could possibly go wrong? Musk is just a billionaire version of traitor trump. Mark this day as the moment one person helped to destroy America whose name was not trump. Welcome to stupid America! Dumber by the day. Oh, well.
