In the closing paragraphs of a recent Salon article, Chauncey DeVega writes of the January 6 hearings, “It was tempting to believe that serious factual revelations might break the Trump fever. But it was also naive. … But considered in total, the American people’s reaction suggests a deep immaturity[,] a profound lack of civic engagement, civic literacy[,] and responsible citizenship. As shown in a new Monmouth University poll more than half of all Americans want the hearings to end ‘as soon as possible[.]’ Political expediency, partisanship and a limited attention span are more important to a large proportion of Americans than revealing the whole truth about Jan. 6 and its implications. It is impossible to have a healthy democratic culture in a climate of those beliefs and behavior. Those Americans who convinced themselves that the House Jan. 6 hearings would somehow save the country from Trumpism and the Republican fascists will have their idealism and hope severely tested in just a few weeks. There is likely to be great disappointment and sorrow, as well as continued incomprehension, in the wake of the November midterm elections. I sincerely hope I am wrong, but we must also find a way to go forward if I am not [emphasis added].” He’s not going to be wrong.
I have said many, many times: Listen to DeVega. He knows his sh*t, and this time is no different. Oh, sure! The hearings were interesting to watch, but they were mainly for the sake of posterity, for, in the end, no minds were changed (were ever going to be changed). And anyone who thought these hearings would be consequential is a moron of the highest f***ing order. No doubt, the naive and the “hope peddlers and happy-pill sellers” — as DeVega likes to call the MSM and the larger political class (i.e., dumbass Democrats) — thought the revelation of the hearings would be a game-changer. But they were not. People just don’t care. As the quote above plainly lays out, America is too stupid and too lazy to care, to understand the facts, and to apprehend the level of danger facing our democracy. These midterms will be a rude awakening for many of these hope peddlers, but by then, it will be too late. Hope does not win. Hope is aspirational. Fear and hate are tangible. RepubliKKKlans are making gains in the final stretch before the midterms because they have been hammering away at crime, and it’s working. Add to that dumbass Democrats’ feckless response — shock — and they are going to lose. Mark my words! The Oklahoma governor’s debate between Kevin Stitt and Joy Hofmeister is a perfect case in point (see video link above.)

In 2020, the latest year for which complete data is available, Oklahoma had a violent crime rate of 458.6 incidents per 100,000 people. California had a violent crime rate of 442 incidents per 100,000 people for the same period, while New York had a violent crime rate of 363.8 incidents per 100,000 people. The national average for violent crime in 2020 was 398.5. Oklahoma had the 14th highest violent crime rate in the nation, compared to California at 17th and New York at 27th.”

The facts were on Hofmeister’s side, as is usually the case when Democrats speak, but, of course, one would never know that because she was completely incompetent in backing up (or defending) her claim with numbers. She was completely worthless in pushing back when Stitt got the last word, which basically amounted to, Does it really make sense that lil ‘ol Oklahoma has more crime than big, bad New York and California? She failed to elaborate that per capita, which is the only relevant number — any moron should apprehend this, but this is stupid America — Oklahoma is more crime-ridden. But whatever! As usual, dumbass Democrats fight with facts, figures, and reasoning — and they wield these weapons poorly — whereas RepubliKKKlans go right for the gut with feelings of fear and hatred. According to The Hill, “House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) on Wednesday morning defended his comment that House Republicans would put more scrutiny on aid to Ukraine if they have a majority next year. ‘I think Ukraine is very important. I support making sure that we move forward to defeat Russia in that program. But there should be no blank check on anything. We are $31 trillion in debt,’ McCarthy said on CNBC.”
Joe McCarthy’s position says it all. His comment encapsulates everything you need to know about the significance of America’s midterm elections and the world. I am not being hyperbolic. And God help us, for the future of the freedom-loving world rests on the average American f***tarded voter. Idiot voters, I guess rightly or wrongly — mostly wrongly — take a highly myopic view of the world — usually no further than their noses. But being an America should — must — require a citizenry invested in democracy at home and everywhere (e.g., Ukraine and Taiwan). Instead, we have an electorate that thinks freedom starts and stops with local gas prices and those politicians “responsible” for inflation as if the current worldwide inflation phenomena is a political problem brought about by Democrats and to be fixed by RepubliKKKlans. But that’s what happens when a stupid electorate does not understand economics; we are reduced to voters pointing fingers at the wrong people and misapprehending how the economy works, and they vote drawing upon this poor understanding. Get ready for people to vote according to their wallets at the expense of America’s democracy. Yes, the inflation is rough. I get it. But voting in a divided government is not going to fix the issue; it’s only going to may our democracy weaker because RepubliKKKlans intend to make problems worse so that they have a better chance to win the presidency in 2024. According to an article in People, Amanda, 35, “had an incompetent cervix and had dilated too early. She was told that miscarriage was inevitable. … The near-total ban on abortion in Texas meant that the doctors couldn’t do anything to remove the unviable fetus unless Amanda’s life was at risk. She would either have to get sick enough for doctors to intervene, or miscarry on her own. And Amanda and Josh had no way of knowing how long they’d have to suffer. … She became sick with sepsis, a life-threatening condition. By the time she went to the hospital 3 days later to deliver her baby, she was feverish and weak.” So? Am I supposed to care? I don’t. I hate to be so crass, but this is the post-Roe world people either wanted or were too lazy to conceive would come to pass by being half-hearted voters. These are Texans, so I have a sense — statistically — how they voted. I really wish People would include their voting records (or lack thereof) because I think it is integral to the story. People who voted RepubliKKKlan are getting exactly what they voted for; are we supposed to feel sympathetic for experiencing the government they kept in power?
But the article continues, and this is the crucial part: “It’s hard for the couple to believe how they have been impacted by this. ‘When the Texas law got passed and then when Roe v. Wade was overturned, of course I was furious and I didn’t agree with it,’ says Amanda. ‘But I didn’t think it would really impact me personally. I never in my wildest dreams thought that the laws that I was so angry about would also pose a threat to my life and prevent me from accessing safe healthcare in 2022 in the United States of America.’”
This last quote reinforces what I’ve been saying for months since the fall of Roe; abortion rights are always someone else’s problem, just as this couple thought Texas’ near-total abortion ban would not impact them. Oops! But whatever. As I said, no one cares, and people don’t care until it’s too late. Just remember: Citizens get precisely the government they deserve and desire. That includes women giving up bodily autonomy. Oh, well. Women will die, and I don’t care. At some point, you have to stop caring about women’s rights more than they care about their own. Women should have cared during each of the last four or five election cycles because the outcomes of those elections brought us today’s SCOTUS. Welcome to stupid America!
According to CNN, “A female Iranian climber, who did not wear a hijab at an international competition in South Korea, left for Iran on Tuesday as Iranian groups based abroad raised alarms over her fate back home. … In a story posted on Rekabi’s Instagram page on Tuesday, the athlete said she was called to climb the wall ‘unexpectedly’ which ‘unintentionally’ created a problem with her hair covering. ‘Due to bad timing and unexpectedly being called to climb the wall, I inadvertently created a problem with my head covering,’ she wrote. ‘Apologizing for the worries that I caused … currently, according to the pre-determined schedule I am returning to Iran with the team,’ the IG story post said.”
She went from symbolizing Iranian women’s resistance to backtracking in fear of the consequences. Look, f***tards! I don’t know how many times I have to repeat myself, but people are not as brave as you would like to believe. Oh sure, the protests in Iran have been happening (off and on) for a month now, but what are the ultimate results? Same ole, same ole. These protests, like all others against authoritarian rule, will burn out eventually because autocracies — especially theocracies — always win out. This is why democracies are dying worldwide. This is why totalitarianism is flourishing, even in America. Protesters are not going to save us. Once people have been completely and utterly rendered hapless, then maybe something will change — only through revolution. But as long as people are content to struggle with the status quo — as most people do — nothing will change except the slow diminishing of people’s rights and freedoms. Protecting humanity’s dignity is difficult; letting dignity slip is easy, and people like easy. Mark my words, morons. Iran will end in a fizzle. Oh, well.
So, I guess it is finally sinking in with me: Democrats are in a no-win situation no matter the election results. Really there are only two outcomes, which the RepubliKKKlans have aptly defined. Kelly Lake’s recent response during a CNN interview about accepting the election results if she loses reinforced what I believe. There is the first option: RepubliKKKlans win the House and Senate (and a whole bunch of other statewide races), which is easy enough to speculate about and most likely. They declare victory, take their marbles, embark on destroying America’s democracy, and dumbass Democrats stand around scratching their heads, trying to figure out what the f*** went wrong. They’ll spend weeks and months conducting “autopsies” to uncover the obvious problems and then proceed to make the same mistakes in two years.
Then there is the second option: RepubliKKKlans lose more than they won. The House is a sure win, but close contents, such as the Senate and other statewide races, may not favor them. What do you think happens then? RepubliKKKlans concede? Hell f***ing no! This is where the no-win situation becomes yet one more nail in the coffin of America’s democracy. RepubliKKKlans have been priming the pump, steering expectations, and cultivating conspiracy theories for just this moment. If they lose, then it’s because the races were stolen. How do you think 40 percent of the nation who believes this bat-sh*t craziness will take losing — “again”? They aren’t. This is the first national election since January 6. The country has only devolved since then, with more people than ever believing political violence is acceptable to correct election “wrongs.” I’m telling you f***tards. This is probably the last few weeks of peace we’ll see in this nation. Either there will be open rebellion if RepubliKKKlans don’t get their way, or democracy will be on the fast track to fascism if they do. But who am I to speculate? Welcome to stupid America!
