According to The Hill, “The AP-NORC poll shows 52 percent of Americans approve of a minor role in Ukraine, while 26 percent are supportive of a major role and 20 percent do not approve of any U.S. role in the European country.” Normally, I take such poll results in stride, but this one just f***ing pissed me off. It was not the 52 percent nor the 26 percent — I’m in that camp — but it was the 20 percent. WTF?!?! Seriously! WTF?!?! I guess in a way I am surprised that number is not closer to 40 percent, but still, 20 percent are isolationists. F*** me! Are we really in the 21st century when people continue to believe that America is somehow completely cut-off from the rest of the world? (Yes!) That democracy in danger in Europe does not imperil our democracy? (Yes!) Is America still so stupid to have learned nothing from history? (Yes!) Are we still so ignorant to believe we are immune from the consequences of dictators running amuck? (Yes!) Poll results like this incense me to no end! There should not be a single f***ing red-blooded America that does not support defending democracies in Europe, especially. We’ve seen this movie before and we know what happens when Americans get complacent about national (world) security just because a nation across the pond is being attacked, and not us. News flash, f***tards. An attack on Ukrainian democracy by Russia is an attack on all democracies! Whatever! Welcome to stupid America! We’re constantly stuck on stupid here.
