According to NPR, “Protesters chanted across Washington, D.C. on Monday to demonstrate against executive orders signed by President Donald Trump. But outside the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, one of the performing arts landmarks of the United States, there was a different kind of protest: a dance. Thirty-four dancers performed The Nelken Line, a piece by choreographer Pina Bausch that pays homage to the seasons. It’s been performed widely since Bausch created it in 1982. There’s even a tutorial. In the piece, dancers walk in a single-file line and make synchronized movements. ‘It felt symbolic in that we’re moving in unison,’ says dancer and educator Kelly King who organized the protest, ‘And there’s something just compelling to see a straight line of movers dancing this way in a march.’”
I can’t! I just f***ing can’t with these m*****f***ing weak dumbass Democrats anymore. I swear to f***ing God, if our country were not a two-party system, then I would never f***ing vote for the Democratic Party again. I am so f***ing sick of this ridiculousness. I’m sick of the weakness and the stupidity. How the f*** did we go from a party that led us out of the Great Depression and to victory during World War II to a party that can’t for the life of them (not to mention the survival of our democracy) get their f***ing act together to defeat creeping American fascism on our homeland?
What the f*** went wrong with us? What is it with this iteration of the dumbass Democratic Party that it lacks a modicum of strength? We rarely, if ever, get unmitigated ruthlessness with this party! Nope! God forbid we get a party with a spine. But what do we get instead? We get m*****f***ing interruptive dance! Un-f***ing-believable! What a f***ing joke! And then one of these idiot dancers proclaims some profound insight, saying, “There’s something just compelling to see a straight line of movers dancing this way in a march.” Kill me know! This dance — I have no doubt — is a paragon of the level of fight embued by the typical, pathetic dumbass Democrat, progressive, and liberal.
Seriously, tell me what the difference is between these dancers and idiot-boy Schumer proclaiming “shame” on RepubliKKKlans — as the highest form of insult — during yet another monotone speech on the Senate floor or him fecklessly trying to lead a group in an inane “fight” chant that embarrassed every onlooker and Democratic leadership? There is no difference! It’s all pathetic all around. Democrats look like fools! No wonder the party is derided from the right and the center. No wonder Independents are reluctant to side with the dumbass Democratic Party. I would not admit such affiliations publicly, either.
Now, is it wrong to ascribe this one group of passionate dancers, who are expressing themselves in the only way they know how, to the pusillanimousness of the Democratic Party? Perhaps not, but it is an exquisite metaphor, to be sure! How often are dumbass Democrats lambasted for bringing a knife (or, in some cases, a pillow) to a gunfight? A group of performers bringing a dance routine to a protest is the height of being the group of p*ssies about which the right loves to ridicule the left. I give up! The symbolism is almost certainly too much to bear.
How many f***ing times have I said it? How many f***ing times? This current version of the Democratic Party is too weak, too incompetent, and too feckless to save us from RepubliKKKlans, MAGA morons, evil evangelicals, and QAnon kooks. Unless and until the dumbass Democratic leadership learns how to fight, then they will never win back power. But I’ll tell you what: Interruptive dance isn’t going to cut it. Welcome to stupid America. Put on your dance shoes, morons! The ballot is coming to get you!
